Veterans Flight Training

Legacy Aviation is proud to provide services to the many men and women who have served in our armed forces.

Veterans who possess a private pilot’s license and a medical certificate and interested in advancing their flight training can be reimbursed 60% of their flight training costs through the VA.

Interested Veterans can begin the process by filling out VA Form 22-1990. If you are currently enrolled in another school, such as a college or tech school and receiving benefits, file VA Form 22-1995. Once you have completed the form, bring a copy of the filed form into our flight school along with your DD-214. If you are in the Guard or Reserves a copy of your NOBE (Notice of Basic Eligibility) is required.

At the end of each month, you are required to hand in your detailed training log which will then be submitted from our school directly to the VA as proof of enrollment and training.

VA reimbursement payments are made after training is completed.
