American Airlines regional airline, Envoy, along with PSA, and Piedmont are offering up to $150,000 in bonuses to pilots.
The 15,000 employee, Fort-Worth based company is facing the effects of the hiring push within the aviation industry. In an effort to attract pilots to the company, Envoy is promising a $15,000 sign on bonus to new hire first officers. The promotion from first officer to captain includes a $30,000 bonus. Those who stay with the company over the next few years are eligible to get additional bonuses.
Other airlines like Southwest also plan on hiring as many as 5,000 workers. This is great news for the aviation industry as there is expected to be a continuous demand over the course of the next year for new pilots.
