Legacy Aviation flight school based at Northeast Philadelphia looking for a motivated individual that recognizes the value in being part of the Legacy Aviation team.
The school has been born from the community that was Hortman Aviation. Our vision is to continue to train flight students using the same lesson plans and syllabi.
Training aircraft: Piper Warriors, Archers, Arrows, Cherokees, Seminoles, Cessna 172s, Grumman Tigers and Trainers (B&C models).
Simulator: DCX MAX NG AATD full motion flight training system.

Reports to: Chief Instructor
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of aircraft movement on ground and in flight;
- Possess and exhibit strong leadership, airmanship, and communication skills;
- Organize, update, and present prepared instructional materials;
- Provide flight and ground instruction according to syllabus requirements;
- Conduct constructive preflight and post flight debriefings for all flights;
- Accurately record flight performance in student’s flight training record;
- Endorse students for solo flights, knowledge tests, and check rides in accordance with Part 61
regulations; - Attend monthly instructor meetings;
- Maintain fleet aircraft appearance to the highest level;
- Communicate all maintenance discrepancies with Director of Maintenance;
- Respond to client phone calls and emails in a timely manner.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Hold a commercial pilot certificate (SEL and MEL) and instrument airplane rating
- CFI, CFII
- 400 hours of total time
- 100 hours of dual given
- 50 hours of instrument time
Compensation
- $20 – $30/hr based on experience.
- $1,000 Sign Bonus!
- Projected monthly hours: 60hrs to 80hrs
